Observations of Italian culture over Cappuccino. Espresso in Italy is where I share my stories from travel in Italy. I continue to use this title on Instagram where I have created a beautiful community of worldly travelers and friends.
My love for coffee began with my grandfather. He shared his coffee with me for as long as I can remember and to this day I drink mine the same as his. My Italian family gathered around the table and I associated the sound and smell of coffee brewing as time for connecting.
The need connect has never left me and it was during my travels to Italy that I took my love for cafes to a deeper level. Over the world’s best cappuccinos I noticed how each Italian neighborhood had a town center and all life moved through it. The sense of community I witnessed was something I longed for growing up in Los Angeles.
In my travels, the cafe became a significant part of my itinerary. I couldn’t get enough of observing different cultures. The cafe also gave me time to write and reflect. Coffee is my way of connecting with others and there is nothing I enjoy more than sharing that experience.
