Lori Dyan, from Toronto, was introduced to me by a mutual friend, and though we hadn’t met before, I somehow knew she was a kindred spirit. When she arrived for her 50 Women Project photoshoot weekend, it was clear—my instincts were spot on. Within moments, it felt like we’d known each other for lifetimes. Lori radiates light and energy, effortlessly filling a room with warmth, humor, and a unique sparkle.
Beyond her charisma, Lori’s talents as an intuitive tarot reader are both profound and hilarious. If you’ve caught her witty daily card readings on Instagram or joined her monthly Burn Your Shit Rituals (where she thankfully hasn’t set herself on fire yet), you already know she’s one to watch. Being myself, knowing that it's more than enough.
What brings you happiness?
Helping people discover their potential and step into their purpose, being in nature, walking around my new home (which backs onto a very dense forest) completely naked.
What are some of the biggest challenges you have faced?
Calling time of death on my 24-year marriage. It was harrowing and soul-crushing and agonizing and unbelievably difficult to be my own hero. And I have zero regrets because my family now understands that it was absolutely the right decision.
What would you change if you could?
I would give people (including myself) the ability to see how perfectly imperfect they are and how we are all more alike than we are different.
What single word do you identify with?
BECOMING
You are afraid of surrender because you don't want to lose control. But you never had control; all you had was anxiety.
